Hi,

Anyone heard of a chap called Cornelius Johnson…? I believe he played drums in the Ohio Untouchables who backed the Falcons & Wilson Pickett. I absolutely love the snare sound on some of those recordings and so far the advice i received is to head for a late 50's / early 60's Rogers or Ludwig wooden snare drum. Does everyone agree and are there any models i should focus on and any i should avoid?

Snare almost has that "Sam and Dave" sound to it. Sam and Dave tunes are some of my favs. ;) Al Jackson Jr.
