Just picked up a Dynasonic Snare:

Serial number 11278 for 80 bucks.

doesn't have the strainer cage thing (neither does my other one)

The adjuster on the tensioner to determine how tight the snares are is smaller than my other one.

Any thoughts on what year this maybe

Thanks for the info man. I like the way it sounds...just like my other one.

My old one took a beating for year...so I think 80 bucks was a great deal...came with an off brand stand too :)
