Well I have finished the snare without removing the inserts and clips and it turned out fine. Really nice sounding snare, too.

Clapping Happy2Wow that chrome came out nice. I wouldn't want to leave a fingerprint on that. Time to buy some white cotton gloves.

thanks Mike and Gerald. Yes, the chrome is really good but cotton gloves at a gig will get me laughed out of the venue. Still, might be worth it anyway:D

Yes, the gloves would cause a little laughter, but I have a friend who has never touched his late '70s COW Slingerland set with anything but white cotton gloves since he bought them new. We all make a standing joke about his gloves, but he has the last laugh as the set looks like it just came from the factory....

I hate getting fingerprints on a freshly polished snare so I think it's best I don't buy a kit like this - it'd drive me nuts:D
