Rogers Koa kit with matching Powertone snare Last viewed: 1 day ago

I've had this kit for a while and I really like it. It sounds great and looks sharp, gets lots of compliments.

It's around a 1970, and a 22-13-16.

It's a not-easy-to-find single tom setup, with the mount for a cymbal l-arm. I don't have the l-arm: the one pictured is not a Rogers arm, it's something I put together from spare parts and a Rogers tilter and isn't included.

Also there is a matching maple 5x14 Powertone snare. The snare is not original: it is a genuine Rogers snare shell, but it is wrapped with genuine Koa wrap salvaged from a damaged tom. It has a few patched holes in the wrap, but it looks very good and sounds great.

No pictures of the snare, but I'll have some soon.

Asking $900 (reduced from $1200) shipped to the US48.

Here are some pix of the snare. It's a Cleveland shell, rewrapped with KOA wrap from a donor drum. Has only one seam like it's supposed to. A couple small holes (in the wrap only) plugged with matching material. I refinished the inside with speckled paint to match the rest of the kit, also makes more sense with the wrap color. Also, an era-correct white tone control is inside.

$800 for the whole kit including shipping and the snare, which to me is a steal. The snare sounds fanastic, like any other maple Powertone, and if original would be worth $500 by itself. The kit is sharp and sounds great, and is also a hard to find single-tom rig.
