Can anyone tell me what year Rogers stopped using the tall boy hoops on their snare drums?
Rogers hoops
c. 1964 ( The Rogers Book, "....tall hoops were replaced by hoops of regular height by 1964...").
There are some drums that have regular hoops before the cutoff. When they ran out, they were out.

And when did they start with the beavertails, late 63 or early 64? On the back of the Beach Boys' Concert LP Dennis was playing bread&butter so thats why Im thinking early 64 cuz he quickly shifted to the beavertails and even tho he went back n forth with Camco Ive heard he preferred Rogers- specially since he used Rogers hardware on his Camcos and played a dyno.
1963
I own Dyna-Sonic #2811 there aren't any lower than that with beavertails. There are some higher with B&B.

I've also seen beavertail drums with high hoops on them. They used whatever was on the bench when a drum went together and things got mixed up during transition periods....
