Rogers 18" Floor Tom found Last viewed: 2 days ago

Loading...

OK, Rogers buffs. I picked this 18 incher up at a thrift store today for 43 bucks. I have absolutely no need for it and intend on throwing it on Craigslist here in the Greenville, SC area. I really know nothing about Rogers (I only have one Rogers snare - COB Powertone). So, when, roughly, and where was this big floor tom made? What's a reasonable price to ask?

I considered converting it into a bass drum, but I just can't bring myself to drill holes in old drums.

Thanks for any input!

It is a recover. All USA Big R shells are Fullertons. About $250.

This will convert rather easily.

All you need is a length of Hex Rod, or the right size Gull Wings for the two mounts closest together. The third mount would be facing straight up in the air......... and you can use wood hoops with BD claws.

Easy convert..

Remove the 2 closest knobby mounts..replace with Bassdrum leg mounts & Spurs .

The bolt pattern is the same,...! Pick up a set of 18" hoops & T's.

Sell off All the leg mounts & legs, hoops to help pay for needed parts.

* replace the last leg mount with a collet & Tom arm mount & yr ready.

* I do use a basic riser lift on the batter side to help place the kick beater at the right height

Find yrself the right skin combo & done.
