I've just purchased an '82 BB and its shell is pretty scuffed up. Has anyone tried to restore one of these shells? Here's an interesting essay on the subject. It discusses replacing the old, scratched lacquer by removing it with a solvent called Formby's Furniture Refinisher... any thoughts...?
