Well guys,

I have a small dilemma: I have to go to the studio the record a commerial pop balled.

I have this choise: 3-ply ludwig 13,16,22 (toms sound dry with Evans G1)

of Recording Custom drums 22,10,12,14*12 (I also own a Maple Custom Absolute 20,10,12,14*14)

Quite difficult decision wouldn't you think?

Who has a lot of studio experience already? Do you have some advice? What kit should I take? Can't decide? :)

Thanks a lot :D

simple the kit your most familiar with! the one you can dial in sound wise. now is not the time to experiment time is money and the clocks a ticking.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

3plys sound really nice in the mix in my experience. Maybe not as agressive as either of the yamahas, but should be fine for pop

I might choose for the Ludwig. Almost everybody is leaning towards those.

I kind off didn't expect it because recording is in the word 'Recording Custom'......

But 22,13,16 seems like a nice combination for pop too besides 10,12,14
