question about leedy & ludwig era shells Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Loading...

Does anyone (owners preferably) know what these shells were? Maple, mahogany, both? Single ply or more? I've always wanted a set and was curious to know this. I don't know much about this period of Ludwig's history and am quite intrigued by it...

Thanks!

According to The Ludwig Book, Leedy & Ludwig, & Ludwig shells were identical, Mahogany/Poplar/Mahogany w/ Maple reinforcement rings, (no solid shells). If painted, the outside veneer was Maple.
