came across this site called drumlessons dot com and was wondering if it is a good site to learn from. i kinda looked it over a bit and watched one of the beginners video, but would like some opinions on it. there is a lot of lessons on there and they are all free. the guys name giving the lessons is jared falk, which i know nothing about, do any of you? thanks.
question about a website

I'm new to vintage drums, but I have been giving lessons for years. I think it appears to be a good site. I think you could use it in conjunction with periodic checks of techniques in person with a real drummer/teacher. Give it a try over the weekend.Cool Dude
I'm a drum teacher of 25 years and I've checked out a number of his videos. I like his enthusiasm and delivery of essential beginner material as well as intermediate and advanced material. Some people may get picky about how he sometimes falls off the click track a little bit when demonstrating examples or whatever but gets himself right back on. He is a very good player and has fun helping the Youtube drumming world become better players.
I'd say it's a very good source for ideas and concepts to open your mind to new things.. I do have to say that real private lessons with a good teacher is the best way to go though. A good teacher will put you on a practicing regiment that will have you stepping your way up to being a great player. But if time or money is the issue preventing you from real lessons then the Youtube stuff can be very beneficial provided the person on the other side of the camera isn't a dummy.
