Premier Resonator PD200 Outfit Value? Then and Now Last viewed: 4 days ago

Loading...

Well my big surprise this Christmas was a 1975 Premier Resonator PD200 Outfit set up in my garage where I was finally allowed to enter after several days of stay out mandates from my family. I identified the set by the gold/yellow color matching the 1975 catalog pictures and correct badges. My set however has two large floor toms and two toms mounted on the 22 inch bass. Overall the finish and hardware is in pristine condition. It is missing some of the bottom heads and hardware and some of the muffler pads and adjusting thumb wheels. The snare has only a Made in Japan engraving and some slight surface rust so it is not part of the original Made in England Premier outfit and I have not identified the maker/brand, but it is a metal snare.

Any ideas on the original value and what it might be worth in the current vintage market?

Thanks

Well it could also be the 1980 Premier Driver PD202 Outfit with extras toms but not the original matching snare. ??

I think we should move this thread to Vintage Non-USA Drums category. Since Premier drums were made in the United Kingdom.

Nice pic, and looks like a drummin' family there!!

Are these the Premiers that have sleeves inside the drums?

This isnt a resonator kit, the re-inforcement rings are visable, not a feature of resonator kits, as the resonator liner rests on these. Its more likely to be a version of the Elite series (at least that was its name in the UK), but i couldnt say which model.

I thought it may be the Resonator PD200 or Driver PD202, only because the color matched the catalog pictures. So now it may actually be an Elite. For what I found at http://www.premier-percussion.com/catalogue/drumset/drumsets/premier-series-elite-2

This is the top of the line drum series. Any idea on the dates of this series and values? They say the Elite series started in 2003 so is this kit so much newer than I first thought?

Your kit is a 70's set, the elite series existed back then, and im guessing that his is one of them.
