As much as I like them, I don't think they're worth as much as a wood Dyna. If there is an exchange of $ as well, then it's your decision...

The desire for Premiers no matter how vintage or scarce will never match that of a dynasonic. But if it's your plan to keep the Premiers and you want a kit, that's a nice one to have.

I agree with all of the above... great kit, but the other guy will have to throw some cash into the deal or you end up on the losing end. Not an -equitable- trade.

Considering you were asking $475 shipped for your 80's wooden Dynasonic, I think trading for the 3 piece 60's Premier kit is a good deal. If you are looking to flip, then you might want to pass. It takes a special buyer when it comes to Premier kits. But after someone buys their first 60's Premier kit, they usually have no regrets.

If you've never owned or played a 60's Premier kit, your ears are in for a treat. :) Thin 3-ply birch with beech re-rings that have such an open resonance, even with the cast hoops. In my opinion, the build quality is way higher than the top American manufactures at the time. The chrome plating on the hardware was equivalent to automotive "show" grade chrome. My small 20" bass drum is awkwardly light, but sounds like a cannon with Fiberskyn reso and EMAD-2 batter.

In the current vintage drum market, Premier drums are truly a secret.

I vote "Do the trade", if Manny passes.
