Pearl/Whitehall Light Blue Pearl Drum Wrap

I love this MIJ light Blue Pearl Wrap. Was wondering if any forum members have drums in this wrap, OR know where I can get this wrap duplicated.  While I would consider buying a set of these in 20/13/16, I would not buy one with the super thin luan shells. it would have to be a later one with regular wood shells, which I think, The "Whitehall" labeled ones are.

Question: would the sets labeled "Pearl" be the super thin luan, or would those be a real wood set?

If anyone still makes this exact wrap, I'd recover my Gretsch BDP set in it.

Any body have any information that would be usefull to me? thanks in advance.

I think those thicker shells were still luaan, just a thicker layup with no rings.

 

As far as the wrap, your best bet is probably to talk to KO about the Chinese celluloid supplier that he got some red diamond wrap from. Matching the chip size and color/shade will be a challenge though.  Finding an orphan will probably be your best option for finding an exact match, just that it may take forever...
