Our three stripes theory would dictate it is a COB- two stripes being steel.
Looks like it`s a great drum- the right heads and tuning- I am sure it`s a lifetime keeper.

Thanks Osakabop. Tempting as it is, i've bought something from this seller before and it was a real drama. I'm sure it's a good drum though. He's asking $195nzd (about $170usd) which isn't a steal either.

yeah, I really don't like the guy. It could be the best drum in the world and I'd still not buy it off him. I just hadn't noticed it was him who was selling it to start with.
