Thanks for the compliments. To be fair it was a very nice kit to start with and just needed some loving. It was very dirty but well preserved.
Well spotted on the inlay staples Hemi. I hadn't thought of that.
I totally agree Mark on the color being unpopular in the 60s. I imagine a fair few were stripped of their wrap or painted over. A friend of mine found one here years ago that had been spray painted black. The kit (pictured) was later returned to it's original owner (Tony hopkins) who had been given it as payment for gigs in the early 60s in New Zealand. He subsequently sold it in the early 70s when he moved to Australia but was reunited with it in the early 90s. He sadly passed away in January.
I remember it when that kit was black. That same friend of mine had another in the same finish at the time so i think there are a few here.
Man... such a fine kit, with provenience!
Love that wrap, great job!

That's the only thing I could find wrong and even they look perfect. You must be as happy as a pig in mud.
Yeah that's pretty much a gorgeous kit there. Gotta get me some POPS! Pink oyster pearls ..
Those look absolutely fantastic. I would not have been caught dead with that color either, but it looks incredible now. Very well done!
