Never smoked a cigar in my life, but this looks very cool.
Make me wonder.... what else might make a one-of-a kind wrap?

there is a thread somewhere here on the VDF about this kit.
I'm debating making a wrap out of silk passes. (soft one time use backstage passes)
What I like best is the 14" "suspended" tom. I would give up my 16 and 13 rogers toms for a 14x10!

You ask or wonder on one-of-a kind wrap..
Well at the old shop back in the 1990's i did a set in fur for a drummer..I i done sets in glass mirror.
But the best or should i say the most off the wall finish i did was for a friend who had Nude photos of his "X"-wife that i did a wrap of..The only thing i will say the band's name started with a "N"...Mikey

Mikey..... That was No Doubt? a cool kit?
The cigar band kit is the meticulous work of Matt at CT Pro Percussion. I've had the pleasure of seeing this kit several times in person and can attest to the labor intensive care that went into it. When I first glanced at it, I assumed (incorrectly) that this was one those thin, custom wraps made from a photo, but on close examination, it's clear that this set is comprised of hundreds of individual cigar bands. Almost inspired me to do a similar project with the thousands of vintage postage stamps I have, but too many projects already queued up.
For more of Matt's very original work, check out the spiked, rope-tension drums at his site: www.CTProPercussion.com
