Another good thing about the dish soap is that it will disolve away the accumulated dirt & grime too, even if there's no rust. Most parts will come out pretty clean & bright before I even attempt to to polish & buff them.

I started soaking the chrome in 100 percent Ajax. Worked great . Got in those tight hard to reach areas. I clamped the small crack it's solid . The only thing I don't like is even though it's flat y can still see the crack. Was considering painting but I guess its better to leave it then paint it . Anyone want to put there spin on this.

The diswashing soap worked great on the bass drum lugs. Used meguires plastic headlight polish and did a quick rub . The orange is a reflection in the pics. Didn't get around to putting a new front head on but cleaned up The old one w some glass cleaner . Looks 100 times better. Now to the other drums

I worked finished the tom tonight. Im pleased with it. put coated ambassadors top and bottom. I did brasso the lugs after the soap and felt it helped. Top rim was a little warped so I swapped it with a Tama one i had laying around.
