Can anyone help me ID this snare? I have had it since the late 60's and it was old then. It is 4x14 and plated with nickel or chrome? It never had a badge since i have had it. It came with 1 no flange hoop and hooks that went over that. Thanks for any help!

I used to use this as a timbali but recently found some 6 lug rims for it and i am digging it as a snare. Such a great jazz sound! Here is a pic of the sound hole if that helps any. I think the rings around it may have been caused by me. I think I used to attach it to a cymbal stand through the sound hole with some threaded rod and nuts and washers. I think it is possible the washers may have scraped into it slightly. At first I thought these marks may have been left by the original badge and some of them might be that?

I'm interested in any responses you get about your drum. I have a 5x14 NOB snare with the exact same strainer and butt. The problem with mine is that the shell is only 13 3/4" on the bottom side and I can't get the tension rods to line up good enough with the tube lugs to put the head on. Hope you hear something.

The 1 hoop with hooks belongs to it, get another snaregate one for it and matching hooks/rods. The strainer looks familar but can`t place it yet !i Looks like there was a gromett on the vent hole.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

well thanks for the guesses. So I take it that it is not a ludwig or leedy or slingerland or gretsch or someone would recognize it????

Any idea how old it is?
