Mike, mine has the large Chicago Keystone badge with no serial number too.

And the top of the Keystone badge goes to the top. Actually slightly under the head rim. The throw off has the multiple holes where you tie the snare wires which I thought they stopped making in the 70's ? I honestly think this snare has had no modifications. I read a post on another site from a few years ago when researching this snare and a guy had one he thought came with the anniversary sets in 75 and that is the only other one I have ever heard of. I am sure there are more out there but I have not seen any. I think there was a steel version like it but never saw a aluminum one. Anything in the Ludwig book about our's?

I just got mine. haven't even detailed it yet. mine has the blisters pretty bad but I still wanted it. got a decent deal on it. if I find a nicer one someday, i'll buy it and let this one free.. here are a couple of shots including the badge deal we were talking about..

ive heard rumors of a steel supra buy haven't laid eyes on one. there are a few pics in the Ludwig book about the snares from our transitional period.
