That is the date stamp in the kick drum.

This thing has a MASSIVELY thick snare drum shell!!! It feels like a beast. A couple of extra holes. Missing muffler. Needs special snare wires.

Cracked bottom hoop (But it confirms COB). Broken clamshell handle.

Missing spurs on kick drum. A couple of weird mystery holes on kick. Bracket for cymbal holder present.

The wrap (blue marine pearl) is in good shape, but a bit faded with some fading and patina. Chrome is a 5.5 out of 10. Looks like the important and tough-to-find stuff (t-rods, etc.) is present and accounted for.

I do NOT plan on re-wrapping these drums, as the wrap looks to be a 6.5 (maybe better) out of 10. Don't like the options of wrap for orphan toms.

Pix to come on my blog.

Any advice prior to seeing pix?

I say shine them up like I did!!!! Is the chrome peeling? Is it just rusty? Can it be cleaned? The wrap being faded isn't the biggest deal as you might imagine. I just got the novus stuff in today and used it on my kit alone with a finish of wax....OMG it looks great! Fadedness alll gone! Try it if you have some. If not get it. I bet you get closer to 10 after ;)

Yeah, the wrap will probably be closer to an 8 after I clean it up. I am more concerned about matching it up when I add the drums I want. I have some Novus somewhere- I used it in my CF moulds (as it really, really slicked up my moulds and they needed minimal waxing).

Chrome has some acne. There are a few nickel-plated bits, as well.

I tapped the snare shell, and it has a great tone. I resisted the temptation to add an extra Trick strainer I had lying around just 'cos there are a couple extra holes in the snare shell...

Yea I love the novus. I am sure you know about it, ur older and well used it before! DUH ;) I just been telling everyone to use it cause wow it works wonders. No offense meant saying to use it :)

I will have to post some pics of my nickel. I used 3 different cleaners on it and it just shines so good. I am sure you know how to do that too though.

I wanna see the whole set though! We need to find the other drums that go to it!

Maybe its not that good after all?? Idk people tell me what ya think

Here it is. I think it looks really good, maybe I am mistaken though? Pics really don't do this justice. It just shines so awesome. Still not like chrome but pretty darn cool if you ask me.

Left side is cleaned. Notice how dull the right side is and how nasty the parts are.

I'll tell you what- when you find a product, you become it's evangelist!!! And I tell you, you're not preaching to the choir, there is at least one person who is one here who's never heard of Novus.
