So what is it we have here?I'm thinking a formerly 4 piece (there looks to be a cymbal mount on the bass) pre-serial Ludwig with missing bottom rims and a set-o matic drilled, good possibly Zildjian cymbals, probably one good slingy cymbal stand and some other stuff-12(looks added)13,16,20 w/a COB chrome snare.Good chance of damaged edges w/no bottom rims.Absolutely an excellent resto project-but $1000 worth?Maybe....Oh,a good snare and Hi-hat stand, too
Nice 60's Ludwigs B.D.P. set on....

Yes and I always have said, the drums look better in the pictures than in real life. I would not pay 1000 + shipping simply because I cant check em out first. Not really sure what I would pay for the "sight unseen" drum set, 500+ 200 shipping?? and I would offer my Aunt some cash to pick it up and ship it. She wouldnt take the money so I would have to mail here a gift card or something. If anything it will be fun to watch, its at 178.00 now but seven days to go.

Jeff, You have a Fed-ex account the shipping is cheaper than if you did not have a account..I would think it would take 3 boxes to ship it all..The bass drum/floor tom and the 12" tom and cymbals in one box..The snare and 13" tom in a box.The hardwear and roto toms in one box.I would say maybe 150.00 or less to ship..You can make half of the shipping back by selling the roto toms for 75.00 on C/L and more if the stands are not Ludwig and Slingerland ones.....Mikey
SHIPPING TIP via FedEx :
You must have your own account or it will be more expensive, especially if you take it into the physical store & have Fedex process everything (weighing, etc); even if you estimate weight, that's OK - they re-weigh boxes anyway & adjust.
ALSO : when filling in order online when it asks for the VALUE of the lot, ENTER "0" - or else the cost goes up not quite exponentially, but significantly enough to make a big difference. Of course, this means you have no insurance on the lot (I believe), but if packaged well, & because you're using FE (not USPS or UPS), that is insurance enough (FE seems far more professional than the rest).

Looks like a BB muffler on that snare.
Doesn't that mean there's a chance it's not brass?
well i say its all camouflage and thats not really old keystones and definitely not of original quality, most likely it will new bearing edges and snare is probably ludaloy bought after, its pitting look close some chrome is peeling junk late zbts so guys dont bother with this one leave it for a local student and 500 to ship .......LoLoLoLo

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
I see they went for 753.00. Anyone think that is a good deal, considering the missing parts and modifacations?

Did you guys notice the modified mounts on the bd and toms? Looks like set o matic stuff to me. With those bottom heads off Id bet those edges are bad too. Not a great deal IMO, but maybe the cymbals and snare are in good shape/sound good.
