Newbie hi and pic Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Here to say hi and thanks for the forum. I've restored a couple Porsches and acquired quite a few guitars and amps and couldn't have done any of it without the appropriate forums to learn how/which/why and when. I'm looking forward to learning much more about drums and cymbals from y'all as about all I did with them was when I was younger was beat 'em and love 'em, but not really learn much about 'em. With your help, maybe I'll learn something about 'em this time around. I retired from the post office in 1999 after 35 years as a mailman. Pictured below is the first thing I bought when I got that job...before a car, clothes, apartment, etc. I just got them back after an extended loan to a relative, and I intend to post more pics once they are cleaned.

Looks like a Mahongany Cortex.......

24 inch bass drums? 12 & 13 rack, 16 & 18 floors?

Very cool kit.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Beautiful B/O kit! Have fun with those. See if you can hook up with few other geezers for jam sessions. Then you can really enjoy those drums.

Welcome to VDF.

John

Too many great drums to list here!
