Good day to all. I just joined the forum today. I have been drumming

Since I was in the 4th grade and now at age 59 have decided to

put together as close to my original 1964-65 Rogers Marine Pearl kit

that my parents gave me 47 years ago. Then in the early 70's I traded that kit

for a Rogers Black Strata Pearl 5 piece kit. My plan is to put that kit together also. I saw this forum and thought it would be a good place to gather

information to help me remember what I had and hopfully find what I need.

I look forward to the experience.

Welcome ! So yo traded the Rogers kit that your parents gave you and then got it back? You must be one heck of a good drummer with all of those years under you belt. This is the best place to be when you need questions asked, just remeber to post pictures so we can see what your doing. I am not an expert on any drums especialy Rogers, never had a kit. I ma 49 years old and started in 7th grade but took a 20 year break. Never was a pro drummer, just your garage band stuff. Now I am learning how to play again and have become addicted to restoring old drums.

Post some pictures of your two kits and you will get help from the right people here. Sorry I cant be of much help, just wanted to say hi and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum,I am a Rogers guy too,I have a 67 WMP kit.

Here is a link with info and catalogue scans you may find helpful.

In 64 65 the most common configuration was 20" BD 12" Mt 16" Ft.

The names for the different kit configs were based on the # of mounts and their placement on the Bass Drum.

Thanks for the welcomes. I have been very fortunate in my playing and have

been able to do a lot of it. I'm looking forward to starting to put together

these 2 kits. Even if it's one piece at a time.

I'm sure I will have many questions

Thanks

All Rogers, all the time.

Welcome to the forum.

Take your time, do the right research, make the right buys, and you will be forever happy. "My" first kit wasnt traded off by me, and eventually, I felt compelled to own that kit again, which I now do. My very first kit that belonged to me, .... I still have, and will always keep.

I do love Rogers.
