Hello, drummers. Newbie here. Found this forum while doing some research on my 1966 Slingerland Shelbyville snare. I have already found some good info! Great site you have here. I know it will help me as I continue refurbishing this old kit. Finished up the snare last nite. Looks good and it's never sounded better. I may not sell it after all!

Welcome! Once you start cleaning things up it becomes really tough to let them go!
Very proud owner of a new Blaemire Snare 6.5 x 14 made by Jerry Jenkins "Drumjinx"
Thanks for the welcome. You're right, but I think it's time to let someone else enjoy them. I have owned them since new. Currently have a set of DW Collecters Series and the Slingys don't get much use anymore.
What color is that wrap? Looks kinda black and silver sparkle. I like it!
newbie here as well
Sling looks great
can't wait to see the whole drum
Actually it's silver sparkle. Lighting conditions were rather poor. They do clean up well, though.
