THANKS for the quick reply as to the what's what on the Trixon shell. I put up a couple of my 1967 showing the interior... no patch at the seam. Nice drum you have there!

Yea, I have never seen that on any other Trixon drum either. But then again, I havent seen all that many.
I have a 1957 Sonor Set and the bass drum has that same kind of patch. I guess its for structural purposes.
Retrosonic!...
Guess who made the shells for Trixon? SONOR! Now it does indeed make sense! By 1967 the "patch" was history... and with no structural problems either it seems... well, at least on mine anyway.

The "patch" is definitely factory. It is very clear that is was built that way.
drumbum675 you have a nice TX1 white marine pearl snare mate.. and as Tommy P (nice B.R. model mate) said it's a 65' as the grey plastic sleeve was introduced in early 66', a very nice example with the white gaskets.
Does it still have the triangle inlay on the snare mechanism as these are usually missing in most cases or in poor condition?
the screws are 1-2 euros from http://www.trixondrums.de/trixon/trixon6i.htm
Welcome
Yes, this drum still has the inlays on both sides of the strainer, however they are not perfect. It appears that the muffler knob is missing some sort of inlay or cover. It's going to auction tonight...... Very cool drum is great shape, but not for me!
