Hey everyone! I bought this Rogers kit a couple of years ago and would really love to know what series/year it is and what factory it likely came out of... I've had a look around the net and also consulted Rob Cook's Rogers book, but haven't been able to identify it. I know it dates from the early 70's, but that's about it. Excuse its appearance in the pictures, I had just gotten it home and set it up to take a couple of snaps, I can assure you that the pinstripe heads that were on it when I bought it are LONG gone by now. It sounds fantastic and the 24" kick is an absolute monster!
Sizes: 24" kick, 13" & 14" toms (former not pictured) and 16" floor tom
A couple of other things I'm curious about:
- Why is the tom mount place in the upper half of the shell? Every other Rogers kit I've seen has the tom mount placed right in the middle of the shell. And BTW, there's no evidence that the shells have been tampered with in any way.
- Why are the badges placed in such odd positions? Take a look at the badge placement on the 14" tom in the pictures - when 13" tom and 14" are both mounted, the badges are facing AWAY from the front of the kit! Seems odd.
Thanks everyone, look forward to hearing your thoughts!
