Hi Mantis, Welcome. Sorry you are having a rough go right out of the gate. I first read the other post and would like to offer some insight into the drums. Mikey is a very knowledgeable drummer, vintage drum trader and parts seller as well as partner in a new drum manufacturer.

I also am a student of, in particular, vintage Japanese drums. This kit appears to be, IMHO, a Pearl made kit. However, looking at the shell layup, I believe them to be a bit later than 60s, early 70s, based on the tom mount setup. The tom brackets, are they split? I mean, is the part manufactured in such a way as to be split and tightened?

It does appear there have been some lugs replaced and are indeed Rogers lugs. As Mikey stated, not too many stencil brands used 8 lugs on toms and 10 lugs on the bass. All that said, they look to be of a fair quality of stencil brand, regardless. Most stencils are nowhere near that well made. As to the seeming insults, no one really is attacking you, personally, so please, as Kevins suggested, let's have a "do over" for you.

As to the value.....the drums themselves, not including the cymbals, should be around 200-300USD. I am really sorry to disappoint, but I trade in these and study them for posterity so that others may find truth the hunt. I do not pull punches where value is concerned, but also try not to be rude while making fair assessments of value.

As for the value of the cymbals, I will leave that to the higher-ups to ascertain, as I am a cymbal idiot.

"Ignorance may be overcome through education. Stupidity, however, is a lifelong endeavor." So, educate me, I don't likes bein' ignant...
"I enjoy restoring 60s Japanese "stencil" drums...I can actually afford them..."I rescue the worst of the old valueless drums for disadvantaged Children and gladly accept donations of parts, pieces and orphans, No cockroaches, please...
