My dad's Dynasonic Part 2 Last viewed: 53 minutes ago

Thanks all for the info on this.

Here are some before & after shots.

I still need the correct era snare bridge so the search begins..

Gonna play it this week at some City of SD Summer concert gigs I have.

I'm going to do a sound comparison to a Supra-phonic.

This drum is really heavy as well.

Did Rogers make a COB Dynasonic?

I guess I better do some reading up on this!

You are one lucky man Mark, but if you try it out on your summer gigs without the snare frame it will sound good but not the true dyna sound.However... with the frame on and properly set up then you can fairly compare it to your Supra-Phonic.I think it will hold it`s own very well-enjoy one of the greatest snare legends.BTW-great cleaning job on her-she`s lookin` ready for business!

Thanks guys. Ploughman, this would explain the no flaking of the chrome & the weight then. The rims are also rather heavy IMO.

Do you have any articles on 60's Rogers snares & kits?

Mark, all metal Dynasonics are COB. The Power Ten is COS.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Mark,

When you get the snare frame with the proper snares, you'll need this:

Mark, beautiful job! Congrats! Clapping Happy2

Allow me to tell you (with all respect, ´cause I'm a newbie Dyna-boyLaughing H) that the only real Dyna is with the snare frame.

You can make it sound great with "regular" wires system, but it's not the real Dyna Sound!

I.M.H.O. Do a little effort and "complete the weapon"!!!

PS: TommyP are the best step by step. Although, you can print this just to put into a frame beside the snare...(as I did!!!!!) Laughing H

wow cool. Thanks for the tuning info all.

Looking forward to bringing this back to original specs.

My next question is where does one go about finding one of these snare frames?

Is eBay the only way to go?

This is all new to me. I don't even own a SS Supra yet!
