My $25 Vistalites Last viewed: 18 hours ago

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share a few pics of a Ludwig Vistalite kit I picked up before Christmas for $25. Yes, that's right $25. Just shows that there are still some unbelievable deals out there. The sizes are 13, 14, 16, 24. When I got the kit it was completely disasembled with a seperate box of hardware. To my surprise almost all of the hardware was there. I had to scrounge some rims and tension rods to get it up and running. I polished the shells using Novus 2 which did an amazing job. The only cons to the kit is a large crack in the 14 which had been previously repaired and 4 extra holes drilled into the bass drum for a different tom mount. There are a couple of minor cracks which I plan to repair with Weld On 4. I set the toms up using snare stands so as to not stress the acrylic any further. I think it turned out pretty good and will make a great players kit. I have been searching for a blue Vistalite for some time. Good things come to those who wait.

#1 is the before picture with the box of hardware inside the bass drum.

Congrats, you just got the deal of the year award right at the last minute. They look great! When I was 13 years old ther was a blue Vista set for sale at our local music store for 900.00 that was 1975. I wanted it so bad but dad said it was too much money. I still want that kit!

Good score! enjoy

Great Googaleemoogalee!!! They look great! I like that set up! I find the rack toms to high on a 24" Bass for me and also use a stand for the 13" and my 14" on a low stand next to my 16" on my large tom kits.
