WOW!!!!! That kit is something else. It looks like it's 100% all original. Where did you find it?
The bass drum, snare, snare stand, hi-hat, pedal, stool and cymbals came as a kit. It was filthy. Nothing but elbow grease and new heads to deal with that. The rest I assembled from authentic Ludwig and Ludwig gear of the period. One Chinese tom is a Leedy, but it matches. I had a tattoo artist recreate the bass drum art from a photo of the original. Scott Colner from Olympic drums was indispensable in helping me pick and choose the various pieces.
Thanks for checking it out.

Stunning! Thanks for sharing. What's it like playing a traps set like that?

Thanks very much. It is so much fun to play although I'm still getting the hang of it. I think it will take many hours of practice to become proficient on it.

Those are cool! How do the tack head chinese toms sound?
Fun fun!
It's hard to get the Greeko (sp?) cymbals >(the very small one on the BD)
Also, the 4 cowbells nested inside each other....
I had a set once of those, and a guy from England called me looking for them..said he been looking for 15-20 years for a set I recall!
Beautiful kit. I'd love to have one like it and to play it.
I love this site, always seeing cool unique drum kits and this is one of the coolest ones Ive seen. Bravo on the job you did finding the parts and getting the artwork done. Thank you for showing it!

Thanks for the comments. As I said, I had much guidance in putting it together.
They sound good. They look brittle because they're so old, but they're actually quite resonant.
Cheers.
