once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Gary spot on. I hate when I hear Happy Memorial day. Men and women gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. My father was WW2 navy he was on the USS Lexington in the Coral sea battle, my Grandfather was ww1 in Germany, my brother is now serving Navy commander, he has been in desert storm 3 tours in Afghanistan base commander. Iraqi multiple tours.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Very well said!!
Grandpa - WW2
Dad - Vietnam
Cousin - Afghanistan x 2
Wife - Army vet.
Myself - Iraq & Afghanistan
Plus many more of my family served. I still miss my brothers in arms I lost in a single attack in Iraq and the veterans still fighting long after the war is over.

Thank you Manny, in particular, your family members and all of you who have protected the rest of us all these years. These are, again, very difficult times in the world. Though it may seem relatively quiet there for the moment, it is raging on this side of the pond. So we do well to remember not only those who served, but those who remain on the alert this very moment.
