The lugs are NOT Premier. But they look like Premier. The original heads are beat to heck, so I ordered new G2 coated's for the tops and have a new Evans batter head in stock. That poor calf reso head is tired. Unless I tighten it WAY up it flops. Any suggestions?

Take a hair dryer to it! Just be sure to keep it moving and stop when it reaches a pitch you're happy with. If it's humid out it will eventually get floppy again, but for a playing session, a hair dryer will do the trick.

I can't make an accurate determination of the tone till I get rid of the crappy dead heads. My inaccurate determination is slightly more resonant.
