Question regarding Ludwigs with No reinforcement rings:

A 26" bass drum, Ludwig, No re-rings; this can't be 3ply yeah? It's gonna be six ply? Blue Olive Badge.

I haven't had much experience with Vintage Ludwig stuff and not firm on 3ply Vs 6ply but I'm keen to get one for mellower stuff/recording soon.

You're right on target. 3 ply has re-rings. Most likely 6 ply if Blue Olive badges. There were also some 4 plies a little later on with no rings.
