Ludwig White interior???? Last viewed: 2 days ago

Hi Everyone,

Another quick question for the experts. I have this Ludwig with white interiors that I just picked up. The kick drum has extra holes where it looks like they moved the rail tom. Everything else looks decent. Sizes are 22, 16 and 13. The snare drum is Chrome over wood, looks like something made in 80's.

Just trying to date the kick, tom and floor tom and get an idea of value. Thanks.

I got one of those snares with a Rocker kit... Those things 'Rock'! (yeah, pun intended)...

The rest of the kit looks nice also. Nice find!

Nice find! Definitely 60's keystone WMP's. They look to be in really nice shape too! Even with the extra holes in the bass drum (which you can cover with the same round head bolts & nuts they used on the rail mounts,) they are going to sound great.

Kudo's on a great find. Enjoy...

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Thanks for the quick replies......This is my first Ludwig kit... Gonna shine them up, tune em and enjoy. The wrap is in real good shape, nice even yellowing. Im a bit bummed about the extra holes but I think I am going to play the S**t out of these drums and smile while I'm groovin!!!

Hi ,Your set would be from late 1963 to late 67 the badges should have numbers on them this would help with the date of them. You can also look inside the shells across from the badges and see if any date stamps are their...Mikey

Mikey777,

I found the serial numbers on the badges. B/D 21043, F/T 21576 and T/T 23294. What value would you think the kit is worth? Someone told me a while ago that the Bass drum is only worth parts when it is re-drilled. Back then I picked up an old Rogers kit that someone re-drilled and that was what I was told. I hope thats not the case here.

In the meantime I threw on some coated Evans G1 heads and a PS3 on the kick. Wow the bass drum is wicked with a nice round punchy sound and the toms sound good. Thanks for your feedback.
