What took me a couple of weeks could probably have been done by most in this forum in a couple of days, but here is my restored Ludwig Universal Bass. I wish that I could have kept the original cord for the lights. It functions well enough, but has too many fraying and exposed wires to be used safely. One original light bulb is still functioning, though, a white Mazda 10w that I flanked with a red (for the sunset) and blue (for the water). Getting the sound I want out of it will be another challenge to come.

Nice job. I kind of envy you being able to stretch the restoration over a couple of weeks. I always go at it "non-stop", get finished quickly and then wish I had another project.
I assume the light cord was the old cloth wrapped type. If you keep your eyes open you may find an old appliance at an antique store that has the period correct cord in usable condition, or check with a antique light fixture restorer.

Thanks. Restoring the whole kit is going to take me even longer, but it's an enjoyable task.
You're right about the cord. Thanks for the heads up regarding the antique stores, that thought hadn't occurred to me.
