Ludwig Transition Badge strainer question Last viewed: 1 day ago

I have a transition badge era snare shell that has 3 holes for the strainer (photo attached)and was wondering what strainer it needs and some help finding one. I appreciate any help. This is an awesome Forum.

its called a large pioneer strainer and is actually called a p85,long before the 70's version hit. here is my 1960 ludwig pioneer transition badge drum with the same. i havent seen many of these for sale though. will keep my eyes open for you.

youre quite welcome. we've got lots of guys here that sell parts. it just doesnt appear that these were made very long,making them uncommon. in fact, most people,including me, werent aware of an early p85 unless they had seen it in the old catalogs. maybe some of the parts guys will see this or you could place an ad in the wanted section here on the forum.
