Ludwig Stipelgold Bass help Last viewed: 10 seconds ago

Hi all. First let me say I know nothing about drums. With that said, I purchased an entire estate last year, and am selling some of the items. From what I've learned, this is a 1926 Ludwig & Ludwig Stipelgold bass drum. I am wondering what would be the best venue to sell the drum, and an approximate value. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome

Sorry, I can`t help you on the value, but, post this in the for sale section here...Someone may be interested in it...The painted front head would be original to the drum...

Beautiful drum BTW!!

Cheers

Thanks for the response. I will take your advice. Not quite sure how much to ask though. I'm not looking to sell for prime dollar, but do need to get a fair price for it to try and recoup some of the money I spent on the estate.

I'm also don't want to go down the Ebay route either. I would rather see something like this go to a collector or the like that can appreciate it.

Like I said, I'm not a drum guy, but this thing seems pretty neat.

Thanks again.

I have a stipelgold bass drum with a painted head.

It was given to me 15 years ago by another collector.

I use it for a coffee table in my drum room.

That's what they're good for since nobody I know is looking for one!

I thought that there would be more interest here for this...

Olympic drums in AZ have sold a kit of Stipelgold... May be worth a call...

Cheers

John

(and from what I have read... Don't attempt to clean it at all .. the finish is fragile.. leave that for the buyer)

I think ebay is your best bet. I'm guessing it will sell for around $400.
