Well Drum Cleaning day is upon me I did the Rogers snare boy it took a while. Here's a couple Pics I couldnt get all the surface rust off the top rim I think Ill just get another one. other than that it came out Pretty Good. What do you guys Think?

Thanks Im working on the Standards now there are looking real good I think Im gona need new Hoops for them there pretty rusted and cant get rid of it? Would getting them re-plated be a solution or would it be cheaper to buy used ones?

Before you do any of that, search this forum for rust removal tips. That are a LOT of them and these guys really know their stuff. A very common approach would be soaking for a day or two in water with Dawn dish washing liquid. Some guys use aluminum foil with various substances. Most will frown on ever using steel wool on chrome. Regardless, there are a lot of tips and you may be surprised at the results. I am only scratching the surface here....but not because I use steel wool.
