Hi guys,

I have a Ludwig Standard Ruby Red Strata set I would like to sell. Would it be better to sell the set, or sell individual pieces?

What would be an estimated asking price for the set?

Thanks

Here are the details:

22" Bass drum, S/N 8825

12" Tom, S/N 8818

Viking Chrome snare

Ludwig Standard kick pedal

Ludwig Standard Hi Hat stand

CB snare stand

2 cymbal stands

14" Krut Hi Hat cymbals

18" Zildjian cymbal, no cracks or key holes, 1350 grams

20" Zildjian cymbal, 6 drilled holes, no rivets installed, no cracks, slight key hole, 1902 grams

Thanks

I think that most would consider the set to be incomplete without a floor tom. Therefore, it may be difficult to sell what you have as is. It would take someone who already has a floor tom and needs the other pieces. If you caught me a few months ago, I would have been that person, as I have a floor tom that would complete your set. I have committed to selling the floor tom to a forum member. That person has a bass and snare and would like to upgrade his mounted tom, so he would be interested in the 8x12. I will PM you with details.

Rick

Considering you're missing 2 toms, and the rest are a mish mosh,it's not really a set at this point.I'd sell everything seperately. You'll more than likely make more money that way also.

The only problem with splitting them up is the tom mount has been altered so this tom isn't going to mount on a standard Standard drum mount. I'd say it will be tough to get much for that tom so you might as well sell it with the bass drum. At the very least you'd need to include the rest of the mounting hardware with the tom. It looks like the bass drum is still all original. Just my 2 cents. Ruby seems to have been one of the best sellers so orphans aren't that hard to come by in that wrap.

No side pipes... it's an original 454 Convertible w/Hardtop, 4 speed, A/C, P/S, original paint, interior, soft-top, etc., 55,000 miles. I've owned it for 40 years.
