I have a new set of Ludwig L1930 snare wires I want to install on a '66 Supra with a P-83. When I thread the snare cord through the snare wire end plates do the 2 cord ends exit the top of the end plate or bottom? Could somebody post a close uo pic so I can get it right? Thanks!

...and this is the way the strings were originally tied when they left the factory in 1966.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

This is the way I've always threaded string through the wires. I found an internet article where the person swears that this is the wrong way and offers pictures showing the proper way to attach the string, which is opposite from what we all do. I tried his way and wasn't impressed with the results! Follow this link... http://snaredrumz.blogspot.com/2010/03/how-to-properly-thread-snare-cord.html
