Pioneer model from approximately 1961-1963. Lacquer finish with nickel plated hardware. The hoops should be brass under the plating. 3ply shell mahogany/poplar/maple (from inside to outside). It's the same shell as used for the popular Jazz Festival model but with six lugs instead of eight.
I started to get that one myself. I've got a maple Club Date kit in nickel. Should make a great drum. The price was right too! Enjoy it.

Are you going to re-lacquer it the same color or wrap it?
Best not to try wrapping it. Natural finish and lacquered drums have the same exterior diameter as wrapped drums (which were molded to the inside of a shell mold with the wrap already in place) so if you add a layer of wrap onto the shell it ends up oversized, making heads tough to get on. It would be the same as adding a new layer of wrap over top of existing wrap on a wrapped drum.
Re-lacquer it or strip it and put some type of clear coat on the maple would be your best options if you don't want to leave it be.
thanks for telling me about re wrapping it.
I was on the fence about it so I"ll refinish it some how with either stain or paint....thx for the info!!
