Very close to finishing the set.... just need to buff all of the rims and the tom-mount. Next on my list gold sparkle super classic or a blue sparkle down-beat.

The pictures are on the link below.

No...I believe that in 1962 Ludwig started painting the interiors of their drums. But, for some odd reason they decided to leave the bass drums un-painted. All drums in a set(including the bass drum) were fully painted in around 1964. Thanks for the compliment on the set my friend!

I really love the WMP....just very classy and complete. But, I am dreaming of finding a gold sparkle set for cheap(I have a red sparkle 1963 Hollywood...but the fade disappoints me).

I think when I set the red sparkle up and find all of the original parts to complete it, I will fall in love with it! But, until then I will probably continue looking for a kit to trade for.

The super sensitive is a very good sounding drum to my ears...compared to my supra-phonics it has a sharper more defined pop. I play it the most because it is the most pitted lud-alloy snare I have....so I figured I would keep the un-pitted snares on the shelf(But I try to play all of the drums I own)

By the way I am thinking about owning a set in each of the pearl colors ludwig produced in the 60's(BDP and BOP). I think I have a pretty good start at it. Don't you own a beautiful BDP?
