I need the following for a late-50's Downbeat Piccolo:

14" 8-hole NOB batter-side hoop

(7) 2-5/16" nickel-plated tension rods

***UPDATE: Tom and Carl (vadrums) were able to hook me up with both the hoop & the tension rods. Thanks guys!

Well, I never received the hoop or tension rods from vadrums. The less said about that whole transaction, the better... :(

Anyway, I'm still looking for the following:

14" Ludwig 8-hole NOB batter-side hoop

(8) Ludwig 2-5/16" nickel-plated tension rods

He has ripped off all sorts of people on here......and on DFO also,I think.......but yet......they still let him advertise............

Tom (vadrums) says he's gonna send me a refund via money order for the parts he never sent. I'm guessing I shouldn't hold my breath waiting for that money order.

Jeeez...there are entire threads devoted to horror stories about this guy. My fault for not doing my homework before PayPal-ing him my hard-earned $'s.

Live and learn... :(

Update: vadrums ended up sending me a full refund via PayPal. However, they initially only refunded me the $45 for the hoop; I had to "remind" them that they owed me an an additional $20 refund for the tension rods. WTF?

An absolute nightmare from start to finish... buyer beware.

True. Maybe I could even find the hoop & tension rods he never sent me... must be there somewhere...

Seriously, it's a pity these guys are such irresponsible flakes. Their "inventory" looks like an absolute treasure trove. Sigh...
