Ludwig lug/hardware help Last viewed: 19 hours ago

Hey, I've been buying a bunch of old Ludwig shells and making kits out of them(new obsession of mine). I'm trying to get some large classic lugs for some kick shells and I'd like to know if there are any major differences through the years as far as fitment. The shells are 70's and early 80's. I see tons of listings for lugs which all appear the same at face value but I don't want to buy stuff that won't fit. Are the lugs basically the same from the 50's and up?

Also one kick had the arched Spurs. The placement is kinda odd as the holes are drilled right behind the lug, it is definitely original but I've never seen them mounted there before. They were literally mounted right behind and inline with the lug. Again, I need to get a pair of Spurs/brackets and wondering if there is anything I need to know or look out for before buying a set.

All info and feedback is greatly appreciated.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Cool thanks. I know there are some differences in the size of the actual legs but all the mounts are typical? Like any set of arched Spur mounts will fit the drum, same hole pattern?
