Ludwig Classic Maple vs. Birch. Help me identifying this set!

Loading...

Hello,

I know it's not vintage but I know this is the only forum where to find a answer.

I live in Italy and I've found this champagne Sparkle ludwig set (22/13/16) for a super price.

I have a doubt that this is a classic BIRCH and not a Classic Maple as I thought.

Can you help me with that?

Here are some pics:

These look like Classic Maple (gold Monroe badges) - the Classic Birch

line had silver badges and Elite hardware with 10.5 mm floor tom legs.

IIRC, the Classic Birch weren't available in champagne sparkle.

Hope this helps.

+1 on Classic Maple kit. If it is a good price (especially for Italy), then buy it!

Hello!

I just want to ask you if you can help me dating this kit.. I think it's around 2007/2008 but I'm not sure..

What can you tell me about it?

thanks

Andrea

PS: I really don't like this deep bass drum.. I much prefer a 14" deep bass drum.. or max 16"!
