From plexi69

So did anyone buy the snare in question?

I doubt Rockin Robin will sell that snare. Bart has a lot of kits and snares that are for show only.

This wrap is my personal favorite- I have a 69' Pro Beat kit (24/13/14/16/18) now with a 69' Jazz festival snare courtesy of Jack Lawton- wrapped with a 16" floor tom skin I bought on eBay.

We had a '69 OBP "bowling ball" Ludwig available as backline at the Montreal Jazz Festival last year. It was the only vintage kit & made me feel more at home than the 25 or so modern kits. The others in the shop would make fun of me because every time I changed the heads on that kit I would take a big whiff of the smell!

1964 Ludwig Champagne Super Classic
1970 Ludwig Blue Oyster Super Classic
1977 Rogers Big R Londoner 5 ebony
1972/1978 Rogers Powertone/Big R mix ebony
60's Ludwig Supersensitive
Pearl B4514 COB snare ( the SC snare)
Pearl Firecracker
PJL WMP maple snare
Odds & Sods

Sabians, Paistes, Zildjians, Zyns, UFIPs, MIJs etc

My brother's old drummer had a kit that i've been trying to get my hands for the last couple of years. Apparently he gave the kit to his nephew who was learning to play..

That was two years ago.. I recently gave my brother a call and asked him to ask if his buddy's nephew is still learning to play, and that if he's lost interest, that i would take them off his hands in a second. I'll find out in about a month or so, fingers crossed ;) Here's a cool pic of Killers drummer Ronnie Vannucci playing a set !
