Can anyone suggest how best to safely polish a nickel over brass Black Beauty. Mine has some scuffing in a few small areas. I have used chrome polish successfully on chrome-coated drums, but am not sure if it would damage nickel.

This has turned out to be my favourite snare so far. Sounds musical in every venue.

I've scanned the archives and see that people suggest using only soap and water. What I'd like to know is if there is a clearcoat of some kind on the drum that may come off with scrubbing, or is it it more like a chrome finish that can safely handle some polishing
