Found it on cragslist asking $100...

i'm thinking ludwig brass snare no matter what is worth more than this.

i'm about to buy it unless someone with more knowledge informs me its not a good deal!

oh and also i found a ludwig rocker kit that's been terribly refinished for $100 dollars... are rocker kits not worth anything?

i dont think the b/w badge models are us made shells. i dont think they are seamless like the high end models. but i have heard that they sound pretty good, especially for the money. hard to go wrong with the rockers at that price either.

is 100 a good price for the snare?

i'd have to drive a pretty love drive to get it. and if it's not a really good deal im not going to do it.

IIRC, this a Ludwig LM-303. It has a made-in-Taiwan seamed shell, much like

the WorldMax snares. The Throwoff is a P-82. These were offered in both

brass and bronze in both 5' and 6-1/2" depths. The 6-1/2s are 10 lug.

I don't think that they're currently in production, at least under the Ludwig

brand name.

The street price for the 6.5 x 14 (new) used to be less than $300.

I've never played one but I've heard good things.

Hope this helps.
