Ludwig bass drum spurs question Last viewed: 13 hours ago

Loading...

I am a blues rock drummer. And play large drums 26"-28" bass drums, I used to push my bass drum all over the place!! now i play off the head not Thur it such as you are doing, and i get a louder and heavier bass sound now than i did, it is technique!! also my Dw 5000 pedal I can put footboard weights on it that helps big time also!

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Thanks for the input. My question was about the flimsy hardware and if the newer heavier spurs could be retrifitted without drilling. I am perfectly comfortable with my technique, style, and abilities. I usually also use larger drums with adequate stability.
