That badge appears to date the drum from around the early 1930's to the start of WW2. After the war the city on the badge would be Elkhart. The white enamel badge first appears around 1933-4? There may be a date stamp inside the drum, two digits for month and two for the year.

Thanks. No stamp on the inside. Also, has clamp on spurs and a loop for marching.

What am I missing here? That badge is definitely white enamel. Not lacquered brass..
